Mike Blanco, Financial Director

Mike Blanco is a decorated and accomplished military officer and combat veteran with 20 years military and professional experience. His expertise extends to the areas of overseeing and leading daily operations, change management, business development strategy, corporate planning and governance, risk management, and business performance optimization.

Mike served in several command billets during his military career to include Troop Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division. During his service, he would ultimately plan and execute over 1000 security and combat operations over the course of multiple deployments to the middle east and was selected for the Army’s prestigious Project Warrior program.

Following his military service, Mike has worked as a freelance consultant in the areas of organizational re-structuring, financial risk management, corporate strategy and governance, and performance optimization for medium sized companies across the spectrum of industries.

Mike currently holds a position within a fortune 50 financial services firm as a lead business execution consultant. In this role he is responsible for leading cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives aimed at reducing risk and improving corporate performance through strategy, planning, and governance.

Mike’s background and experience is supported by a B.S. in International Relations from Florida International University, M.S. of Business Administration and M.S. in Business Analytics from Syracuse University - Whitman School of Management, M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management from NYU - Stern School of Business, and numerous professional military education leadership schools.

Additionally, he volunteers with several organizations to promote Veteran interests and inclusion within the private sector, is a Veteran mentor to transitioning Veterans, frequent panelist, and speaker on Veteran issues, and is an active member and contributor to the Veteran’s on Wall Street organization.
